• I enjoyed this book very much. Although it is the 3rd book to be published in this series, it is a prequel, and takes place before the events of the 1st book in the series. It tells the story of Ana's father (the murder victim in the 1st book). It can be read without having read the other books, but I think reading it after reading the first book made it even more compelling.
